I Do My Duty, Closes My Eyes was written by Haldun Taner, the big master of Turkish theatre and it was staged by ABT three times.
Story started in 1908, under the repressive regime of Sultan 2. Abdülhamits period. Efruz, who was congenital lucky and Vicdani, who was a loser, were born in İstanbul at that time.These two friends could not ever stay away from each other for all their lifetime.
Under these conditions, Vicdani had always trouble and Efruz was always shining with teh assist of his rich family.
Near the end of the game, Vicdani has started to payoff by Efruz and also by hisself.
This drama was directed by Müfit Kayacan.
